Go to ISTE.org and create a free account, if you haven't already Visit: ISTE.org and read through the Student Standards for Technology. Then respond to the Discussion Forum questions posted for week 1. Review the ISTE Standards for Educators and the educator poster posted in moodle. Respond to the discussion post questions.
Discussion Question:
Please go to https://www.iste.org/standards/for-students and read through the Technology Standards for Students. Please select and respond to at least 4 of the following discussion questions using your personal experience with instructional technology (prior to your college experience). • When you were a student, were you prepared to meet all of the ISTE Standards? Did you know tech standards existed?As a student prior to college, which standards do you think you could have met based on your personal experience using tech in learning? • How did your teacher help you meet the standards or learn to use tech tools? • What kind of barriers kept you from using technology in a meaningful way? • Ten years from now, do you expect these to be a valid picture of effective technology-using student learning? • Did you ever have a teacher who had a “bad attitude” toward technology? How did you know it? What did they do?

Please review the powerpoint, video and read through the blog page on the SAMR Model and integrating SAMR and Blooms Taxonomy. After reviewing the materials, briefly describe each stage of the SAMR model. Explain how the complexity changes from substitution to redefinition. What apps or tool might be helpful in the classroom to reach the highest level on the SAMR Model?

Be a Google Ninja
Join our Google Ninja Classroom at 3vn948o. We will be completing some of this weeks assignments using the Google Classroom platform. Follow the instructions to log into our class titled "Google Ninja" and complete any assignments posted in the classroom. You will need a gmail account to complete this work. If you do not have a gmail account, please let me know.
Log into your gmail account. Click on the grid or "waffle" in the upper right hand corner to access the apps. Scroll down to look for the Classroom App (looks like a chalkboard) Once in the app you should see a plus sign in the upper righthand corner. Click it to join our class with the following code: 3vn948o Once in the class, read the assignment posts and respond accordingly.
Assignment
Google Fundamental Training Discussion Response, Due Feb 16th, midnight Welcome to Fundamentals training. By reading, watching videos, and doing activities, you'll learn how to integrate Google in your classroom.
Your assignment is to go to the Google Education Suite Fundamentals Training page (link below). Choose one training module to complete start to finish. Choose a topic you would like to know more about. When you complete the training module you will post a summary of that content and how you might apply that in the classroom or how it would benefit your students (75-150 words).
For google to track your progress on the training, you will need to sign in with a gmail account. You can start and stop lessons at any time; Google will track your progress through the course. You should have a quiz to complete at the end of the module. You can access the fundamental trainings here: https://teachercenter.withgoogle.com/fundamentals/preview.
This week's Tool: Interactive Presentations (quiz, Choose Your Own Adventure, Game) PowerPoint Game Templates on slide 9 of powerpoint if you want to try one.
Note: There will be no new content this week since we already have the facebook assignment and interactive presentation due.
Assignment: Create an Interactive Presentation/Quiz/Game using powerpoint or google slides (If you were absent, you may want to meet with me or discuss with a peer to prepare the activity.) Don't forget to complete your facebook post assignment!
